Description
Lisboa is a classic gents oriental woody fragrance influenced by the trees of Portugal. Lisboa is a rich warm scent with a Bergamot citrus opening, a floral heart of Lavender and a beautiful rich woodsy base of Cedar, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Ambergris.
This is one of my own personal favourites from the whole Pocket Scents line.
50ml Eau de Parfum concentration.
Top Notes – Bergamot
Middle Notes – Lavender
Base Notes – Cedar, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Ambergris

This is an absolute show stopping superstar. Great performance with the finest dry down I have ever spelt.

Part 1
There are two major criteria which one must take into account when reviewing an ‘Homage’ scent. Firstly, is it a great scent in its own right, because unless it is it will never meet the second criterion, and secondly, does it faithfully duplicate the scent on which it is based. ‘Lisboa’ is an homage to ‘Bois de Portugal’ but one must first realise that this is a great scent per se. It brings one quickly to a warm summer’s day in a woodland, the sharpness of wood delightfully modified by clouds of lavender. This is a scent which surrounds the wearer gently, not so much projecting as wafting.

Part 2
I compared this directly with ‘BdP’, original on one arm ‘Lisboa’ on the other. There is a perceptible but slight difference, BUT this difference is less that one might find between batches of ‘BdP’. I would characterise this as a slightly ‘sharper’, terpinol note from ‘Lisboa’. Projection is average – this is not a ‘shouty’ scent. ‘Lisboa’ has superior longevity to ‘BdP’ and even has a faint residual scent after 24 hours.

Matt gave me the heads up this was in development, so I’ve been eagerly awaiting Lisboa. I’m really struggling to tell any real difference between Lisboa and my decant of BDP, possibly BDP is slightly smoother. However, I really want to just review of Lisboa and not compare; so this is just a gorgeous gentleman’s scent, rich, sophisticated (think bottled Frank Sinatra) a fragrance that epitomises an elegant evening in a suit. However, you could also wear this in the daytime, particularly in autumn or winter when it’s warming notes will come through. Matt, this is a master piece in its own right. Thank you.

Just received this today and I am very impressed with the scent.
Sprayed lisboa on one arm with the creed on the other. They are very similar with slightly less projection and longevity on my skin with lisboa however considering the price difference it’s not a big issue.
Excellent product, congratulations.
Added bonus being a local product.

This is another top quality fragrance from Matt I love the freshness at the start which then settles down too a lovely sophisticated scent that just hangs around the wearer so you get wafts all day long I’m no expert on notes and scents I just appreciate the quality of the scent which feel much more expensive than they are these scents do certainly change as the day goes on if there was an excellent rating I would choose it

This absolutely radiates off the skin, beastly performance.
To keep things short, there is no need to buy the Creed anymore, Lisboa is the real deal.

Bought this because I love Bois du Portugal and I have to say Lisboa is fantastic. Such a classy smell and better yet this stuff has staying power.

Bought a bottle of Lisboa blind and I’m not disappointed – I absolutely love it! It’s an “old school” type of scent that reminds me of something. In my option it’s lovely!
Customer service is fantastic. I emailed Matt with a question and received a very swift response.
I will definitely use pocketscents again in the future

Bought this having previously enjoyed the smell of the equivalent Creed but never pulled the trigger. This is a great gentlemans scent perhaps a ;little old school but no worse for it. Brilliant quality for the price and really good longevity. Quickly established as a favourite and always feel uplifted wearing it. Nice job.

Nailed It !!!
I own the original Bois Du Portugal and this is about as close as you can get without spending Creed’s asking price of over £160 at the cheapest stockist !
The Bergamot / Citrus notes provides the initial punch and the Lavender comes in closely behind it to carry the tune and in the drydown the woods come in to play to smooth it all out.
This is for the person looking for a more masculine scent..A Classy, Expensive, Gentlemanly smelling Fougere that would work well with a suit and tie or in a more formal office setting. Can be worn during the day or at night in all seasons and is a far cry from the mainstream, generic smelling fragrances that saturate today’s market.
A great release that captures all of the notes of the original at a fraction of the cost.

This is a really lovely fragrance, a great mix of citrusy brightness with depth underneath it. It has quality and reasonably good performance on my skin, although I would have preferred a bit of a longer projection before it became a skin scent (maybe that’s just my skin chemistry or me going noseblind to it after a while though). This is definitely slightly sweeter and more citrusy, and has less of a woody bite than it’s inspiration. Also, the ambergris accord here smells very slightly clinical compared to the original, but that really is splitting hairs, and the overall effect is very close indeed, especially once the initial opening has begun to settle and the dry down begins. We’ll worth the money!
