I bought a bottle of Profundo on holiday in Jamaica in 2015. It was a great vacation and that smell will always remind me of the good times. I added Blue Abyss as a freebie with my order of Pineapple Sauvage .

This is exactly why we wanted to create Blue Abyss. Fragrance has a strange ability to transport you back to moments in time almost instantly, so hearing that it brought back memories of such a great holiday means a lot to us.

Profondo-style fragrances from that era had a really distinctive character and we worked hard to capture that same atmosphere and feeling without losing what made the original so special.

You're absolutely right about vintages too - aside from the cost, there's always the gamble of oxidation or the fragrance no longer smelling as it should after years in storage.

This fragrance started my journey I'm so pleased you've created this . You've got the lot the salty aquatic freshness followed by smoky incense and a touch of patchouli it's a steal at the price would easily pay double because this warrant a higher price tag....in short don't get rid of it it's a classic and you've captured it perfectly

The original is one of my all time favourite scents and sadly discontinued. I still have a 125ml bottle that I use sparingly. I won’t be using that anytime soon though because Blue Abyss is the same juice, I don’t know how Matt has done it. I have tried several takes on this and none have come anywhere close to this.

At the price point just buy this, it’s the safest blind buy you will make:
