Four Perfumes - Four Occasions, Four Fragrances You Need to Try!

In the past month, life has kept me busy—and wonderfully scented.

I’ve been to a wedding, spent two sun-drenched weeks in Spain, caught up with friends over dinner, and enjoyed a date night with my wife. Four very different occasions, and because I’m a bit of a perfectionist (and a fragrance fanatic), I wore four very different perfumes.

Some people swear by their signature scent—wearing the same fragrance year-round, rain or shine. That’s not me. I like to keep things fresh, interesting, and let’s be honest... keep my wife guessing!

Let me walk you through my month of memories and the fragrances that made them unforgettable.

1. The Wedding – Wearing Bloodaxe

Weddings are a tricky balance of formality and celebration. This one was no exception. The ceremony was at the grand Glasgow City Chambers, followed by drinks and a buffet at Babbity Bowster’s, then dinner at the iconic Buttery.

For a day that shifted from elegant to relaxed and back again, I needed a fragrance with stamina and style. Bloodaxe was the clear winner.

An easygoing evening at The Bell Jar in Glasgow’s Southside called for something relaxed, classy, and quietly confident. Enter: Gallus.

Why Gallus?
This unisex scent opens with a surprising combo of coffee and lemon, then melts into cedar, patchouli, and amber. It’s subtle, elegant, and always present—like a really good friend. One of mine even told me I smelled “classy.” I’ll take that any day!

4. Date Night – Wearing Remmal

We finally booked a table at Margo’s, a buzzing spot in Glasgow city centre. Before we left, I reached for Remmal, one of my personal favourites for special nights and dry martinis.
